Satyadeo College Gouripur is committed to maintaining a campus environment built on mutual respect, academic integrity, and responsible conduct. The Disciplinary Rules of the college are formulated to ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive learning atmosphere for every student, faculty member, and staff.
Every student, upon admission, is expected to acquaint themselves with these rules and abide by them throughout their academic journey at the college. Ignorance of the rules shall not be accepted as an excuse for any misconduct.

Core Disciplinary Rules
Every student of Satyadeo College Gouripur is bound by the following core principles of conduct during their time at the institution.
Attendance & Punctuality
A minimum attendance of 75% in all lectures, practicals, and tutorials is mandatory for appearing in examinations. Habitual late-coming or absenteeism invites disciplinary action.
Dress Code & Appearance
Students must wear neat, modest, and appropriate attire to the college. The management reserves the right to deny entry to students inappropriately dressed and inconsistent with the college's decorum.
Academic Integrity
Cheating, plagiarism, copying, or any form of academic dishonesty in examinations, assignments, or projects is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification and further action.
Respect & Non-Violence
No student shall engage in verbal abuse, physical assault, intimidation, or any behaviour that is disrespectful to fellow students, faculty, staff, or the institution. Ragging is a criminal offence and is strictly banned.
Mobile Phone & Electronic Devices
Use of mobile phones and electronic devices inside classrooms, library, and examination halls is strictly prohibited. Devices must be switched off or on silent mode while on campus.
Campus Cleanliness & Property
Students must maintain the cleanliness of classrooms, corridors, laboratories, and campus grounds. Wilful damage or defacement of college property is a punishable offence and the cost of damage shall be recovered from the student.
Prohibited Substances
The use, possession, or distribution of tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicant within or in the vicinity of the college campus is strictly forbidden and may result in rustication.
Identity Card
Students must carry their valid college ID card at all times while on campus. Entry may be denied to students who cannot produce their ID card on request by college authorities or security personnel.
Protests & Gatherings
Organising or participating in unauthorised assemblies, processions, strikes, or protests within the college premises without prior written permission from the Principal is strictly prohibited.

Rules in Detail
The following regulations govern the day-to-day conduct of students at Satyadeo College Gouripur. Violation of any of these rules shall be dealt with by the Disciplinary Committee.
- Enter the classroom before the faculty arrives; do not enter after 5 minutes of the lecture commencement without permission.
- Do not indulge in side conversations, use of phones, or any activity that disturbs the class.
- Rise to greet the teacher when they enter or leave the classroom.
- Raise hand and seek permission before speaking or leaving the classroom.
- All academic equipment and resources in the classroom must be handled with care.
- Wear appropriate protective gear (lab coat, safety goggles) as prescribed.
- Not conduct any experiment without the supervising teacher's instruction.
- Handle all equipment, chemicals, and instruments with extreme care.
- Report any damage, breakage, or accident to the lab instructor immediately.
- Clean the workstation after each practical session and return all equipment to its designated place.
- The cost of any willfully damaged instrument shall be recovered from the student.
- Maintain complete silence inside the library at all times.
- Carry valid library card and college ID for borrowing books.
- Return borrowed books within the stipulated period; fines shall apply for late returns.
- Do not tear, deface, underline, or write on library books or journals.
- Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent mode inside the library.
- Personal belongings may be checked at the exit by library staff.
- Students must carry their Admit Card / Hall Ticket and college ID to every examination.
- No electronic devices, cheat sheets, or unfair means are permitted in the examination hall.
- Copying or assisting others to copy is a serious offence and shall result in cancellation of the examination and additional action.
- Students must be seated 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
- No student is permitted to leave the examination hall within the first 30 minutes of the paper.
- Misbehaviour with the invigilator or examination staff is a punishable offence.
- Do not post, share, or publish any content online that is defamatory, communally sensitive, or brings disrepute to the college or its members.
- Cyberbullying, online harassment, or threatening behaviour directed at any individual is a disciplinary and legal offence.
- Sharing of confidential college information on social media platforms is prohibited.
- Students found guilty of such conduct shall be subject to disciplinary action in addition to applicable legal provisions.
- Apply for leave in advance through the class teacher using the prescribed leave form.
- Medical leave requires submission of a certificate from a registered medical practitioner within 3 days of resuming college.
- Absence without prior application or intimation will be treated as unauthorised and may affect academic standing.
- Students falling below 75% attendance may be debarred from appearing in the semester or annual examinations.
- Parents / guardians will be informed if a student's attendance falls below the minimum threshold.
